Birkbeck College

IoJ has been a partner of Birkbeck for many years and has been offering Jainism courses under their banner at certificate and diploma level.  Under this partnership, courses are offered at local venues at desirable dates; each module is taught over 12 weeks, one two hour session being taught every week.

Our Education Director and Trustee: Dr Mehool Sanghrajka and our Hon. Secretary and Trustee: Dr Harshad N Sanghrajka are both formally appointed sessional lecturers for  Birkbeck and have been teaching the following modules under this partnership:

School of Oriental and African Studies:

Institute of Jainology has been sponsoring Jain essay competitions at two levels at SOAS.  Awards of £500 each are given for the best essay in the undergraduate submissions and postgraduate dissertation.

In the recent past, the annual cost of £1000 has been sponsored through the kind benevolence of the N Sethia Foundation who have committed it for five years.
